Finally universal outrage, almost.

This abomination of what America stands for has been going on for several weeks now.   Sixteen days ago on June 20th, 2018 tRump signed the executive order to stop the separation of children from their parents.  Problems are that it is only temporary and it doesn’t do anything for the 3000+ children that were already separated.  This is as close to backing down as I have seen Trump do since his election.  If nothing else, The Donald on some level realizes there are some lines he cannot cross.  A Federal Judge ordered the administration must have all children under 5 to their parents by July 10 and all other children by July 26.  This our government, so nothing moves as fast as it should.  So they are already asking for an extension of the time.  Judge Sabraw said he would agree to delay the deadline for reunifying the youngest children if the government could provide a master list of all children and the status of their parents by 10 a.m. Pacific time on Monday.

A government lawyer said she could not attend a status conference over the weekend because she had out-of-town dog-sitting responsibilities.  Secretary Azar, the director of the HHS told the judge he could give him an estimate of the total number of children still in their care, but not an exact number.  He also said that 19 of the children’s parents had already been deported.  He argued that it would be too difficult to locate and reunite them.

The one lawyer decided her dog sitting was more important than the fate of these children.  The director acted like the missing children were missing inventory.  The argument that we shouldn’t have to reunite the kids of the parents already deported.  After reading that, I came here immediately.  When there is something I cannot deal with, I write it out on this blog.
